Albertha Morris Harmon, 80, of Cheek, TX, departed this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 7, 2012.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 9327 Lawhon Road, Cheek, TX, with interment at Magnolia Cemetery, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence J. Harmon, Sr.; son, Lawrence J. Harmon, Jr.; and daughter, Marie A. Harmon-Leger.
Mrs. Albertha M. Harmon's love and memory will be cherished in the hearts of her six sons, Robert J. Harmon, Sr. (Wanda) of Laurinburg, NC, Gilbert David Harmon (Ida) of Hempstead, TX, Ernest Harmon (Belinda) of Galveston, TX, Wilford Harmon (Ellen) of Houston, TX, Ronnie Harmon and Terrence Harmon, both of Florida; four daughters, Helen Blackshear of Houston, TX; Sandia Bailey-Frederick (Anthony) of Sealy, TX, Mattie Harmon and Agnes Jack (Phil) both of Beaumont, TX; 3 grandchildren that she adopted, Robert J. Harmon, Jr. (Felicia) of Houston, TX, Velonda Harmon of Atlanta, GA, and Jerrick Leger (Brenda) of Dallas, TX; four brothers, Joseph Morris of Meeker, TX, Wilford Morris (Mable), William Morris (Robin) both of San Antonio, TX and Charles Morris of Oklahoma; 34 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
