Alecia Rachelle Coleman Hebert was born on June 28, 1946 and gave her life to Christ at an early age. She grew up in Beaumont and raised her children with her former husband of 27 years, Edward Hebert Jr., where they blessed their children with shining examples of having an unwavering faith in God. The special relationship she was proud to have with her parents and each of her siblings demonstrated the importance of family to her children as well as to her dear nieces and nephews who affectionately called her "Auntie." On the eve of her passing, she was surrounded by her children, family and friends who prayed with her, and said good night for now. She passed peacefully in her sleep on September 15, 2018.
Funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with burial at Live Oak Memorial Park, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary staff.
Much love and fond memories of Alecia will be cherished by her five siblings: Wilson Baron Coleman III, Jocqueline Coleman, Ronald "RC" Coleman (Janice), Christopher Coleman (Shana), and Mitzi Coleman; five children: Alneita Hebert, Angeliqueca Avery (Talbert), Nydia Morris (Douglas), Natalia Edwards (Junius Jr.), and Edward Hebert III; close friends, particularly Jackie Bell, Deborah Hickman, and Mildred Jackson Holman, who were consistently supportive and encouraging to her and her children; eleven grandchildren: Destiny, Alecia, Jalyn, Dejanique, Junius III, Julianne, Elissa, Julecia, Douglas Jr., Christopher, and Jayden; a host of special nieces and nephews who affectionately called her "auntie," and a significant number of former co-workers and friends whose lives she touched, including Dominique and Keisha.
