Annie Maud "Moodie" Brooks, 96, of Beaumont, TX, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012. A native of Jasper, Texas, she spent most of her adult life in Beaumont.
"Moodie" was preceded in death by her parents, George and Sudie Adams; her husband, Obie Brooks; both of her sons; Otis Brooks and Leroy Farr; all four of her siblings, and a grandson, Leroy Farr, Jr.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon, on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Greater Grace Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be observed from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at the church.
Mrs. Brooks' surviving family includes granddaughters, Vanessa Brooks, Shontae Tarver (Travis), and Demetris Anderson, all of Beaumont; grandsons, Glenn Smith and Shai Brooks, both of Beaumont; four great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a first cousin, Olivia Vonner, of Waco, Texas; many nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.
