Annora Carmon Jones, 94, of Beaumont, died February 9, 2014, peacefully at home. She was a native of Ville Platte, Louisiana and a resident of Beaumont most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Jones, Sr; son, Ernest Joseph Jones; parents, Sankam and Marion Antoine Carmon; five brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Benjamin Jones and his wife, Ernestine; Jessie Jones, Jr. and his wife Carolyn; daughter, Lessie Ann Johnson, all of Beaumont; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; sister, Ezora M. Bassette; brother, Sankam Carmon, Jr. of Cheek; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at Pleasant Green Baptist Church, 3420 St. James Blvd., Beaumont, Texas, with entombment to follow at Live Oak Mausoleum.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff and aides of Harbor Hospice and their gratitude to Annora's two sons, Benjamin and Jessie, who so lovingly cared for their mother 24/7 for thirteen (13) years.
