Mr. Arthur Benjamin DeJean departed this life on Wednesday, April 9, 2014.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Lula DeJean; their children, Vickie Clark and Gloria Prudhomme (Isaiah Jr.) of Houston, TX; Norris Bennett (Debra), Arnold Bennett (Beatrice), and Ronald Bennett (Yolanda) of Richmond, TX; adopted daughter, Chelsea Bennett DeJean of Houston; his siblings; Dolly DeJean Payton (John) and Doris DeJean both of Beaumont, TX; Alvin DeJeann (Brenda) of Carencro, LA; two brothers-in-law, William Spivey, Sr. (Patricia) and Lafayette Spivey (Brenda), both of Beaumont, TX; sister-in-law, Lucy Spivey of Beaumont, TX; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one nephew/godchild; and a host of other relatives, friends, and his Magnolia Church Family.
