Assistant Pastor Mark Hartwell Briggs, 60, of Beaumont, Texas, departed this life on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at New Day Deliverance Holiness Church with interment at Houston National Cemetery under the direction of Calvary Mortuary staff.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at the Church.

Mark's love and memories will remain in the hearts of his wife, Ashley J. Briggs; sons, Daryeus Briggs, Michael Thibeaux, Jr., and Aaiden Thibeaux; daughters, Charle'tta Briggs, D'Andrea Briggs-Garrett (Corey), Angelique Thibeaux, Ma'Laya Thibeaux, and A'Layjah Thibeaux; father, Hartwell H. Briggs; sisters, Evelyn Best (Noah), Lovie Jocha (Michael), and Tammy Briggs; brother, Lawrence H. Briggs (Alfreda); one grandchild; spiritual mother, Overseer Sandra Battles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
