Burdest Lenton Jenkins, 83, of Beaumont, TX, departed this life on Tuesday, August 12, 2014.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Reed's Chapel, 301 Ironosa, San Augustine, TX, with burial at Corinth Cemetery, Crockett Lane, San Augustine, TX, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff.
A wake service will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Calvary Mortuary Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Frank Jenkins; daughter, Sandra K. Jenkins Williams; parents, Will and Revertia Jenkins; sisters, Edna E. Jenkins Hobbs and Lavern Jenkins Bell.
His love and memories will remain in the hearts of his sons, Lenton E. Jenkins (Oliever), Earvin A. Jenkins (Lynn), James W. Jenkins, and Burdest W. Jenkins (Delia); daughters, Gloria Jenkins Harris, Velma J. Jenkins, Shirley Jenkins Johnson (James), and Bobbie J. Thurman (Dwight); sister, Margie Jenkins Swindle; brother, N.C. Jenkins; 21 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
