"Pinky" Charlean Harrison was born on March 3, 1923, in Alto, Texas.  She was the oldest child of Webster and Everlynn Toliver. "Meme" as she was fondly called by her family journeyed home to be with our lord on Saturday, October 8, 2022.

Charlean attended public school in Alto, Texas where she was an outstanding basketball player on the high school team and met the love of her life William Henry "Jake" Harrison.  Charlean and William united in marriage on January 21, 1941 and were blessed to be married 73 years. Together they raised three sons:  William Gregory Harrison, Dwight Webster Harrison, Kenneth Wayne Harrison and one granddaughter, Kimberly Harrison Summers.  Shortly after they married, William and Charlean moved to Beaumont, Texas.  Charlean would go on to attend cosmetology school where she enjoyed styling hair, and she also worked as a vocational aid in local nursing homes and private residences.

Charlean and William joined St John Missionary Baptist Church soon after their move to Beaumont and faithfully attended and served for over 70 years.  Charlean served at St John in numerous roles including President of the Deaconess Board, Sr. Women's Sunday School Teacher, President of the Mission Choir and visionary behind the Christian Women's Outreach Ministry.  Charlean also enjoyed gardening, baking, studying the word, and any athletic endeavors her sons, grandsons and granddaughters were involved in.

Charlean was preceded on her journey to glory by both parents, her husband, William Henry Harrison, her two brothers, Minion Toliver and Coylee Toliver.

Charlean leaves behind a legacy of love, service and a strong Christian faith to be cherished and emulated by her three sons William Gregory Harrison (Jacqueline), Dallas, Tx, Dwight Webster Harrison, Beaumont, Tx. and Kenneth Wayne Harrison (Debra) Laguna Niguel, Ca.  She also leaves behind five Grandchildren: Kimberly Summers, Acworth, Ga. Rona Ng'ethe, Dallas, Tx. Bryan Harrison, Reseda, Ca. Whitney Harrison, Long beach, Ca. and Stephen Harrison (Alyssa), Corona, Ca., five Great Grandchildren: Nakia Abdul, Malcolm Summers, Bryce Harrison, Jasmine Harrison, and Ian Summers and her daughter in faith, Carolyn Lee Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
