Clyde David Broussard, 63, of Beaumont, Texas, departed this life on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in Missouri City, Texas.

Clyde, who grew up in Beaumont, Texas, was born there on December 28, 1962. He was a 1981 graduate of Hebert High School. He built a career in construction, where he was known for his dedication, skill, and strong work ethic.

Clyde was a natural comedian who brought joy and laughter to those around him. He was known for always cracking jokes and had a way of lifting spirits wherever he went. He had a passion for drag racing and a deep interest in aeronautics. Clyde valued family, and he cherished the time he spent with his loved ones.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Mae Thomas and Felix C. Broussard, Sr.; siblings, Lolita Cerf, Marcus McCloney, Geraldine Stevenson, Steve McCloney, Donald Broussard, Felix C. Broussard, Jr., and Arthur Broussard; and grandchild, Coy David Broussard.

Clyde's legacy of laughter, love, and devotion to family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Retha Broussard; son, Chad David Broussard (Persephone); daughters, Denise Alex Paul (Franklin), and Rachel Broussard; sisters, Joanna Snowden and Mary Ann Tarver (Ronald); cherished grandchildren, Chaison David Broussard, Roman David Broussard, Nala Wheaton, Kameron Wheaton, and Chance David Broussard; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Zion Baptist Church with interment to follow at Live Oak Memorial Park under the direction of Calvary Mortuary staff.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the Church.
