We announce with deep sorrow the passing of Edith Louise Watkins, 85, of Beaumont, Texas, on Friday, September 11, 2026.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Shining Star Missionary Baptist Church, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary staff.

Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

To cherish her memories, Edith leaves behind her son, Frederick Watkins; daughters, Alecia Nicholson, Shelley Watkins, Sonya Watkins, and Tonya Watkins Johnson (Shannon); sisters, Dorothy Alston, Nelly Girth, Emma Hunter, and Vanessa Jackson; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
