Edward Hayward Briggs, 87, of Beaumont, TX, departed this life on Saturday, September 14, 2013.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1175 Lincoln St, with interment at Greenlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the church.
His love and memories will remain in the hearts of his daughters, Regenia Cheatham, Toni Leger (Anthony) and Sandra Briggs; sons, Retired Master Seargent Edward P. Briggs (Julia), Kenneth W. Briggs (Edith), Robert H. Briggs, Sammy Briggs (Elizabeth) and Dan H. Briggs (Rona); sister, Ether Badgett; brother, Howard Briggs; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
