Dr. Esther Ruth Gordon Matthews, 81, of Beaumont, Texas, departed this life on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Triumph Church, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Calvary Mortuary staff.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the Church.

Dr. Esther's love and memories will remain in the hearts of her daughters, Jana Richard (Dwight), and Pamela Bennett (Kenneth); son, Alvin Hicks; sister, Equilla Robinson; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
