Harding Sylvester, "The Candy Man", 78, of Beaumont, TX, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital, on Sunday, August 11, 2013.
A Life Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Morning Star Baptist Church, with interment at Live Oak Memorial Park, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the church.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Fannie Sylvester; sons, John Boutte' (Sandra), Andre Boutte', and Carlton Sylvester; daughters, Tatyana Norman (Terence) and Ami Malvo (Carl); sisters, Ester Jones of Atlanta, TX, Della Williams of Los Angeles, Leola Limbrick and Mary Mays (Eddie) both of Houston, Marjorie Nells Seals and Stella Guidry both of Beaumont; brother, Kerry Sylvester (Francine) of Beaumont. Candy Man was blessed with 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
