Helen L. Batiste, 93, of Nome, TX departed this life Tuesday, May 7, 2019.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery,  under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Helen's love and memories will remain in the hearts of her son, Reginald Batiste (Ashley Ann); daughters, Mary Edwards (Toni), Lovenia White (Lawrence Sr.), and Sheila Lavergne (Calvin, Sr.); sister, Raynell Lewis (Joseph, Sr.); 23 Grandchildren; 52 Great Grandchildren; 17 Great-Great Grandchildren;  a host of other relatives and friends.
