Herbert Roy Chavis, Sr., 78 of Houston (previously Beaumont), Texas departed this life on Monday, September 24, 2018.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018, at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 3350 Washington Blvd., Beaumont, Texas, at 10:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 8:00 AM, with an Omega service with his fraternity brothers at 9:00 AM.
Interment will be at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff.
Cherishing his memories are his wife: Cathy Chavis, sons, Herbert Chavis Jr. (Pam) and Dr. Felix Simieou III (Katherine); 13 siblings; 3 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
