James "Shrimp" Lee Jackson, 88, of Beaumont, Texas, departed this life on Wednesday, April 17, 2025.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church with interment to follow at Live Oak Memorial Park under the direction of Calvary Mortuary staff.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at the Church.

James's love and memories will remain in the hearts of his wife, Sarah L. Jackson; daughters, Myra Jackson-Jones, Gail Jackson-Chretien, Mary Jackson-Zeno, Tari Jackson-Broussard, and Barbara Jackson-Marshall (Alexce); stepchildren, Herman Fontenot (Denise), Willie Taylor (Wanda), Gloria Taylor-Zachery, Dwayne Taylor (Donna), Helen Taylor, and Donald Taylor; sister, Betty Miles (Calvin); godson, Clayton Haynes (Hazel); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
