Jay Roy Semien, 79, of Beamont, Texas departed this life Saturday, October 19, 2019.

He was known as being the mechanic and owner and operator of Jay Roy's Garage for more than 50 years.

Jay Roy was a member of Scott Olive Baptist Church under Reverend D. Hudson.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Mohorn Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA at 10:00 A.M. with interment to follow at Mohorn Cemetery under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff/ Williams Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at the church.

Jay Roy's love and memories will remain in the hearts of his companion Barbara Granger; sons, Jaroy Rigsby (Betty), Gerald Wayne Barnes (Stacy), Andre Thomas, and Marlon Jay Roy Gage; sisters, Elsie Semien (Daniel), Geraldine Dawson, and Darlene Semien-Brown (Andrew); 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives, and friends.
