Jean Marie Richards, 71, of Beaumont, Texas, departed this life on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. via the Zoom Meeting listed below.

Jean was born on December 16, 1951, to Leroy LaFleur and Mildred Smith LaFleur in Plasiance, Louisiana.

She was longtime resident of Beaumont, Texas. Jean became a Jehovah's Witnesses on August 27, 1971, and was well known for her knowledge of the scriptures. She had a zeal for the door-to-door ministry and loved Jehovah and her family very much. She always looked for ways to share bible scriptures with others, young and old alike. She would always say that she would like to ride a whale when she would get to the new order- paradise.

Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Kendrea DeVault; and her parents Leroy LaFleur and Mildred Smith Lafleur.

Jean's love and memories will remain in the hearts of her husband, Kenneth Richards, I; daughters, Napata Lewis, and Charity Poullard; son, Kenneth Richards, II; grandchildren; Dale Poullard (Amanda), III, Dustin Poullard, and Alejandra Lewis; great-grandchildren, Madilyn Poullard, and Dale Poullard, IV; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
