Jessie "Deac" Edwards, Sr., 80, of Beaumont, TX, departed this life on Monday, September 29, 2014.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at St. Peter Baptist Church, with interment at Magnolia Cemetery, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the church.
A wake service and time for memory will be celebrated on Friday, October 3, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. ton 8:00 p.m., at Calvary Mortuary Chapel.
His love and memory will remain in the heart of his wife, Elnora Edwards; sons, Pastor Eddie Edwards (Gretchunal), Ronald Edwards, Jessie Edwards, Jr., and Kevin Edwards; daughter, Marie Mitchell (Cal); sisters, Elma Wilson (Magafery), Leatrice Wilson (Hampton), Annie B. Richard (D.C.), and Ethel Frank; brothers, Jeffery Edwards (Gussie), Lamar Edwards, Jr. (Lucille), and Arris Edwards (Linda); 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.
