It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joe W. "Joe Bill" Smith , 80, of Beaumont, Texas, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church, with interment at Houston National Cemetery, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff.

Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Joe's love and memories will remain in the hearts of his wife, Carol L. Smith; his daughters, Lisa Smith Ross (Wendell), Leslie Smith Boards (French), and Lorri Smith Robertson (Bryan); his son, Timothy Smith; his brother, James Smith (Ann); his bonus children, Darryl Harrington, Jr., Darilyn Byerly (Cameron), and Darien Harrington (Nisha); host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
