Josie L. Holmes, 54, of Beaumont, Texas passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

Josie was born in Eunice, Louisiana on August 19, 1969, to John Holmes, Sr., and Jo Vel Lyons. She was warm-hearted, a pillar of strength to all those who loved her. She lived her life to the fullest and was unapologetic for who she was. She loved to laugh and share her infectious spirit with all her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Alex Shillow, sons, Ray Holmes & Jamal Smith, and grandson, Jerimiah Jamal Williams.

Josie is survived by her daughter, Pachine Holmes; siblings, Cynthia Robinson, Christine Bush, Gladys Holmes, Jamie Silas, John Holmes, Jr., Johnathan Holmes & Nathan Holmes; God mother, Liz Thomas; niece Pimpla Holmes; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM. at Bethel Baptist Church.
