Judy Ann Garrett Rufus, 72, of Beaumont, TX, departed this life on Saturday, July 2, 2016.
Mrs. Rufus, an educator for 42 years, in Beaumont Independent School District at French High School, Beaumont Charlton Pollard and Central High School. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Phi Delta Kappa Sorority, Inc. and the National Association of University Women. She was a devoted and active member of the Church of Christ.
A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM, at Eleventh Street Church of Christ, on Saturday, July 9, 2016. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at the church. Burial will be held at Post Oak Union Cemetery in Longview, TX, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff.
Her love and memories will remain in the hearts of her husband, Charles E. Rufus, Sr.; sons, Gregory K. Garrett (Coy) and Jason B. Rufus, Sr.; sisters, Lisa Brinson Holman, Minnie Rell Barnes, and Eva Lou Brinson; brothers, Roy Brinson and Curvy Brinson (Wanda Jean); 3 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.
