Kenneth Wayne Monroe Sr., 65, of Beaumont, TX beloved father and grandfather went home to be with the Lord and Savior on October 13, 2022, at Harbor Hospice Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.

Kenneth Wayne Monroe, Sr. was born in Lake Charles, LA on February 3, 1957, to Curley Monroe and Betty Ruth Monroe. He graduated from Charlton Pollard High School in 1975. He then enlisted in the United States Army. After serving his country, Kenneth united in holy matrimony to Margarite Simpson, from this union Kenneth Wayne Monroe Jr. was born. Later in life, he had a daughter, Pastor Kellie Reed. He attended Douglas Memorial CME church, then later joined McCabe Roberts UMC. Kenneth enjoyed dancing and working with his hands. He loved his family with all his heart, especially family gatherings. Kenneth worked at Bill's Produce, the City of Beaumont, ILA Local 21 and as a Plumber Apprentice for the late Mr. Ruben.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his mother Betty Ruth Monroe and his brother Anthony James Monroe.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his father Curley Monroe, one son, Kenneth Wayne Monroe Jr., one daughter, Pastor Kellie Reed (James), four sisters, Carol Ann Jackson, Wenda Ruth Monroe, Patty Gail Monroe, and Emogene Marks (Robert), five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at McCade Roberts Avenue United Methodist Church with interment at Houston National Cemetery under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Church.
