Lawrence Gene Bellard, Sr., 77, of Orange, TX, died on February 17, 2019, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
He was born on March 13, 1941, in Orange, Texas, son of the late Mattie Johnson (Hilda Bellard) and the late Mitchell Bellard. He was the sibling of Mrs. Beverly Hawthorne. (and the late Priscilla Hebert).
He graduated from Wallace High School in 1960. He was employed by International Paper, formerly Owens Illinois, for 42 years, retiring in 2015. Mr. Bellard was a member of the Quarter Century Society.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; two sons, Lawrence Jr. and Dorsey Robinson; daughters, Renilla Hardin (Milton), Dinella Bellard (Tonya), Lena Bellard, Linda Broussard (Reginald), Brenda New (Robert), and Brittney Crosson.
His service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Starlight Church of God In Christ, in Orange, TX, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M.
