Obituary

Melvin Joseph McGlory, Jr., 54, of Beaumont, Texas departed this life Wednesday, July 29, 2020.

A Memorial to remember Melvin will take place Sunday, Aug 2, 2020 at the Royalist Civic & Social Club, 949 Mobile Ave , Port Arthur, Texas, starting at 1pm.    Melvin chose to be cremated, so we shall celebrate his life and memory with love surrounded by family and friends.

Melvin was born in Port Arthur, Texas on 10/10/65, to Barbara and Melvin McGlory Sr.   He attended schools in Port Arthur and later Beaumont, where he attended South Park H.S.   He spent time in the Job Corp after High School and later was a lifelong construction worker in the area.
Melvin was a fun loving, life of the party type guy who always left a lasting impression on all those whose paths he crossed.   He loved his family and friends and will be remembered by them all.
Melvin was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia McGlory Haley.
He leaves behind his mother, Barbara Pouncy; step father, Houston Pouncy;  brother, Isiah Roberts; sisters, Sonja Roberts and Tracie Conyers St. Julien (Ricky);  nieces,  Inisha Roberts and Sherece Randle; great nieces, Samarra, Alana, and Naomi; a host of other family and dear friends.
