Rita Payne Gilbert, 88, of Beaumont, Texas departed this life Sunday, April 19, 2020.

Rita's love and memories will remain in the hearts of her sons, Donald Ray Gilbert, Harold Gilbert Sr., Michael Gilbert, and Joseph Lamb; daughters, Debra Griffin and Michelle Gilbert; sisters, Rose Hamilton, Betty Decoux, Verline Thomas, Evelyn Ellis, and Joyce Lavender; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; seven great-great- grandchildren; host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Borden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff.
