Rita "Mama Mae" Simien Gobert, 91 , of Beaumont, Texas, departed this life on Friday, April 21, 2023.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Church.

The Rosary will begin at 9:15 A.M.

Rita's love and memories will remain in the hearts of her daughters, Lisa Gobert, Karen Ransom (Wallace), and Angela Gobert; stepson, Gerard Gobert; sisters, Mary "Sis" Butler, Juanita Trajan, Marie Ryf, Andrea Ehlers, and Clement Arceneaux; brothers, Herman Simien, Joseph "Red" Simien, Elmo Simien, Charles Simien, David Simien, Lawrence Simien, and Tony Simien; 10 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
