Rolanda Appollonia Simon, 26, of Port Arthur, Texas, departed this life on Friday, August 23, 2013.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Calvary Mortuary Chapel, with interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park, in Port Arthur, TX, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the chapel.
Rolanda was preceded in death by her eldest brother Maxuman Lamar Chenier of San Francisco, CA and grandmother, Linda Simon of Beaumont, TX.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her fiancé, Jamal Joseph of New Orleans, LA; mother, Debby Valsin of Port Arthur, TX; father, Roland Simon, Jr. of Beaumont, TX; grandmother, Alvina Living of Louisiana; sons, Jayden Simon and Aeden Simon both of Port Arthur, TX, sisters, Aprile Portley (Lance) and Crishonda Butler (Chad) all of Port Arthur, TX; brothers, Reginald Simon (Chantelle), De'Carlos Valsin, and Christopher Valsin Jr. all of Port Arthur, TX; Roland Simon III and step-brother Koby Young both of Beaumont, TX; nieces, Leia Oderbert and Meeh'Yah Valsin of Port Arthur, TX and Malayah Chenier of San Francisco, CA; nephew Lance Oderbert Jr. of Port Arthur, TX. Rolanda also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will always cherish her memories because "Apple Snapple" was one of a kind. We all loved Apple, but God loved and needed her more.
