Ruby Lee Gatson Smith, 89, of Beaumont, TX, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 3920 West Cardinal Drive, Beaumont, TX, with entombment at Live Oak Memorial Park, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the church.
A celebration of life and viewing will begin on Friday, August 3, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Greater Little Zion C.O.G.I.C., 4296 Magnolia Avenue, Beaumont, TX.
Ruby's love and memories will remain in the hearts of her husband of 72 years, Dr. Adam Smith; sons, Pastor Gerald L. Smith, Sr. (Patrice) and Wesley J. Smith (Tonya); daughters, Linda J. Greer, Beverly A. Martin (James), Donna J. Curry (Theodore), Carolyn L. Sterling (Paul, Sr.), and Jacqueline Y. Graham (Floyd); 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
