Sidney Chopane, Jr., 85, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on November 11, 2022. Sidney was born January 10, 1937, to Josephine and Sidney Chopane, Sr. in Voth, Texas, the eldest of ten children.
Sidney participated in the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959. He married the love of his life, Shirley Ruth Petry in 1956. He always surrounded himself with family, and he was deeply loved.
Sidney enjoyed fishing, rodeo, classic western movies, music, and spending time with his family. Most of all, he loved his wife of 65 years who he will meet again in heaven.
