With gentle acceptance, we share the peaceful passing of Sun Yon Straughter, 87, of Beaumont, Texas, who left us on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, with entombment to follow at Live Oak Memorial Park, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff.

A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The Rosary will begin at 9:15 AM.

Sun Yon's love and memories will remain in the hearts of her son, Orlando Straughter; her brothers, Kim Sang-ok and Kim Sang-bok; and a host of other relatives and friends.
