Verlie Mae Fontenot, 83, of Beaumont, Texas departed this life on Sunday, August 29, 2021.

Services will be private for the family only.

Verlie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Fontenot; parents, Eugene and Zenobia Morgan; brothers, Elijah Morgan, and Horace Morgan; sisters, Dorothy Morgan, and Jean Pennington ;and sons, Eugene Fontenot and Jerry Fontenot.

Her love and memories will remain in the hearts of her sons, Herman Fontenot (Mary), and Martin Fontenot (Stacie); daughters, Rhonda James, and Sharon Fontenot; her loving daughter-in-law, Donna Fontenot (Eugene); sister, Lillie Prejean; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
