Wilbert Joseph Richard was born on February 28, 1928, to the union of Irene Williams and Alex Richard, in Ville Platte, LA. He was a Labor Foreman with a local construction company for over forty years. He passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012, at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at West Tabernacle Baptist Church, with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Alvin J. Richard and Marshall J. Richard; three sisters, Effie R. Melvin, Willie Mae Manning, and Irene Mae Richard.
Wilbert's love and memories will remain in the hearts of his sons, Wilton Richard (Claudette) and Wilferd Richard (Elizabeth) both of Beaumont, TX; daughters, Elsie Dean Richard-Hunter of Beaumont, TX, and Vanessa Richard -Graham of Arlington, TX; brother, Joseph Richard of New York, NY; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
